Rejecting the Jaws. Trial: Trap! The Way closes. If you go on like this you will not be able to act for ten years. Take it in! There is no advantageous direction. You are rejecting the source of nourishment. You beat yourself against impossible obstacles and grasp at what can only hurt you. Let go of these ideas. If you go on like this the structure of your life will buckle and fail. This could be an ever-flowing source of energy. These comings and goings release energy now bound up in the past. Co-operate with the ongoing process of change.

六三, 拂頥, 貞凶, 十年勿用, 无攸利.

Turning away from nourishment. Perseverance brings misfortune. Do not act thus for ten years. ##### Comments Nothing serves to further. He who seeks nourishment that does not nourish reels from desire to gratification and in gratification craves desire. Mad pursuit of pleasure for the satisfaction of the senses never brings one to the goal. One should never (ten years is a complete cycle of time) follow this path, for nothing good can come of it.
